Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION

A. Background of the Study

Lucid Dreaming as everyone knows that it is an illusion that comes from one' sub consciousness that once a person is aware already that everything happens is a dream. Lucid dreaming itself can compare in other things that people do and have in the real state. Likewise, lucid dreaming is a playground for our minds and experiment things that are not usually happen in one's real life. It doesn't only fulfill our desires and pleasures but also it may give people good insights in real life, thus, a reference in our real life and can be an inspiration in making some things like novels, music or even in making a story for a movie film.

Every one knows lucid dreaming comes from one's subconscious. Subconscious is commonly encountered as the unconscious mind which means it is a part of the brain in which doesn't have focal awareness unlike in the consciousness part of the brain. People most likely to have dreams as they sleep but when the time comes that they already know that they are only dreaming, that's the time in which a person has an access to a higher state of our self-awareness that comes from subconscious mind.

Rebecca Turner is a long time lucid dreamer and the creator of the website "World of Lucid Dreaming." In her article, "Lucid Dream and the Inner Self," she stated that lucid dreaming begins in a simple realization that the individual is in the scenario of dreaming which awakens one's conscious part of the brain while the other parts of the body is at rest. However, what makes lucid dreams different is the fact that these type of dreams feel real.

Turner says, "Instantly, your dreamworld becomes a living alternate reality, where everything you see, hear, feel, taste and even smell can be as authentic as real life."(
http://www.nlp-secrets.com/lucid-dreaming-and-inner-self.php)

Lucid Dreaming feels like an immersive game. Like in every game, the person can manipulate all the things that he/she wants to change. Every game has a controllers which is the main character or head in the game with the help of the game consoles, the game can have a better result that can reach the satisfactory of the player. Same thing with the concept of lucid dream, an individual can control the whole scenario that is happening in their dream. The person who is experiencing lucid dreaming can change anything, change the emotions over the scenario, having super powers, flirting with someone or even riding at the back of a dragon can be done. The differences between the two is that there are no devices that will be used in lucid dreaming. The only thing which the person is needed to control his/her dream is that first you should be lucid in your dream of course, and your subconscious.

Tim Post wrote an article entitled "Lucid Dreaming." There the author discussed that lucid dreaming is like a video game which an individual can control everything, manipulate every data or everything in his/her surrounding through some game consoles. But on the other hand, the author person explained the differences within the literal video game and being lucid in a dream, the author said that it is easy to access everything in the lucid dream because you don't have any device that you will use to do things that can be done in a video game. Meaning an individual who is lucid in his/her dream is the main superior and at the same time, the main character in the dream.

As Tim Post said that, "A lucid dream offers limitless opportunity to gain extraordinary experiences that are impossible or difficult to gain in everyday life." As the researcher said in her first researcher statement, that lucid dream has less boundaries than in real life, you don't have to follow any law or mechanics to have a great game in your dream. (http://www.lucidipedia.com/lucid-dreaming/)

Lucid dreaming also has connections with Buddhist concepts like the Maya. Robert Waggoner wrote a book called, "Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self." In the book it was discussed how illusion and Maya have the same concept. There the author also mentioned how lucid dreamers, once they realize the truth that they can build their own illusions, begin making stuff out of their imagination.

As the author, Robert Waggoner said, "They learn the process of how they create their own reality, their own Maya.". It only means that people who experienced lucid dreaming are not aware that they make their own illusions, it just you can move through it while you decide to make that illusion. (http://books.google.com.ph/books?id=Jquw6rtphG8C&pg=PA110&lpg=PA110&dq=maya+illusion+and+lucid+dreaming&source=bl&ots=vYNhRLdjKV&sig=J1gvo20f_mPRLpug7o4UTPMlmig&hl=en&sa=X&ei=AkM6U7TgIeudiAeh2YD4Bw&ved=0CDAQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=maya%20illusion%20and%20lucid%20dreaming&f=false)

Lucid dreaming encourages a person to be more creative. When thy find out that there are no limits to what they can accomplish in their dreams, they start to imagine more than they usually would. That is why lucid dreaming is also an inspiration for art. Many movies have featured the concept of lucid dreaming. Rebecca Turner wrote an article called, "Top 10 Lucid Dreaming Movies." There the author gives some popular movies that features lucid dreaming. The author also explains how each movie shows the concept of lucid dreaming.

As Rebecca Turner said that, "Dream movies capture the imagination like no other, and take us on a conscious quest inside the dream world.". And the researcher agreed with it, because it give not only satisfaction to the audience but also give more ideas in which people can have a powerful imagination. (http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/lucid-dreaming-movies.html)

But with regard to lucid dreaming in movies, the researcher observes that these movies have very different approaches with regard to lucid dreaming.

The researcher conducts this study to give you more information on why and what is the main role of the concept of lucid dreaming in those movies that you watched which feature it like for example the movie Inception, Matrix and etc.

The purpose of this study is to explain what is the main role of lucid dreaming in the movie films about it.

B. Statement of the Problem

This study has a goal of answering these question:

What is the main role of the lucid dreaming in some movie films?

C. Significance of the Study

Film Makers/Screen Writers
This research study would be able to help film makers and screen writers because this study has a connection with their jobs and other than that, they could gain more fresh ideas on how will they make another movie that is related to lucid dream and have the public's eye to that movie.

Psychologists
Knowledge of this study would serve as a benefit for them  to know what is difference between the effect on those people who always watched movies which has lucid dreaming concepts and to those people who actually experienced lucid dreaming and for them to be able to give some reasonable ideas for those upcoming patients who will asked regarding this matter.

Future Researchers
This study will help future researchers and serves as a reference to have an added information regarding lucid dreaming and movies.

D. Scope and Delimitation

Since lucid dreaming has a broad information and it can be an inspiration in all kinds of form of art because of it's mysticism, this study will only focus on what is the main role of lucid dreaming in this movie films which it featured.

This study will no longer discuss the main role of lucid dreaming in any other form of art except for the movie film. It will only discuss a subjective field between the lucid dreaming and the role of it in movie films.

E. Methods of the Study

The topic of this study is what is the main role of lucid dreaming in some movie films that featured it. In order to find the answer, the researcher found some articles from the website in the internet and read some topics in the book about it. Aside from that, the researcher watched some movies regarding about the topic like Inception, The Matrix and The Avatar so that she can have the full understanding of it. Through all that, the researcher used the descriptive method since the researcher has a goal of knowing what is the main role of lucid dreaming in the movie film all about.

Chapter 2
Discussion

What are the main role of lucid dreaming in some movies?

I. Definition of Lucid Dreaming

The researcher splits the two words so that the readers can truly understand the meaning of lucid dreaming. Lucid, according to Merriam - Webster Dictionary,"(a) It is an adjective which means very clear and easy to understand";"(b) able to think clearly". While the word dreaming, based on Merriam - Webster Dictionary, "(a) a noun which means a series of thoughts, visions, or feelings that happen during sleep";"(b)an idea or vision that is created in your imagination and that is not real". If the reader will read it clearly, he/she will observe as the author observes that lucid is an description to have a clear understanding on what you have and dreaming is a state of having a pictures in your mind which means when the two words combine it easily understood that you have a clear understanding on what you have in your imagination during your sleep. Lucid dreaming is a kind of dream wherein a person knows that he/she is dreaming. And with that, a person has the ability to control the things of what will happen in the next scenario.

The problem in this study is what is the main role of the lucid dreaming in some movies. So, the researcher listed some popular movies that featured the concept of lucid dreaming.

II. Movies with Lucid Dreaming Concept

Not all movies in this list directly  state that the concept of lucid dreaming is in the story but when you watch and analyze it, the reader will realize that somehow, the concept lucid dreaming is present.

A. Inception

This movie is one of most interesting movie for the researcher. The audience might confused on the story because of many transitional scenarios and having a thought like "What is really happening in the movie?". It's normal because just like the researcher, in the first place, the researcher didn't get what is the point of the movie. But when the researcher what it all over again, she realized that the movie is pretty cool awesome. The way the whole production of it makes it more complicated as before it was aired in the big screen. It is amazing not only because of its effects but also the content of the story itself.

For those who didn't watched it yet, here's a iceberg for the readers. This is the story of a man named Cobb who is a corporate raider and has a work of stealing other ideas by entering in their minds secretly by the means of a apparatus that one person or more can be inside a person's dream and interact with each other. The story started when Cobb is hired by the a powerful billionaire who assigned him to do the opposite thing of what is his real work; To put a new idea into his opponent's  mind, and do it so well he believes it is his own. Saito, the rich man who hired him, makes an offer that he can't refuse. So, he decided to make a team for the mission, Arthur, his best friend and longtime associate; Earnes, a master at description; Yusuf, a chemist; Ariadne, a new recruit who is a student  and a brilliant architect who is recommended by one of those close relative. The mission seems complicated in the first place because they didn't know how to start it, but they make a plan to have a successful mission. But the question is, will the mission work according to plan and be successful or not? And that's what the audience should watch it to find it out.

Like what David Denby discussed in the article "Dream Factory: Inception" in the website of newyorker.com, the director made a science - fiction thriller that exploits dreams as a vehicle for doubling of action sequence. Added for that, the movie has a concept of lucid dreaming which the director gives a different levels of lucid dreaming; deep, deeper, and the deepest stage in which the audience got more interest to it.

But what is the role of lucid dreaming in this movie?

There in the movie, in able to enter in an individual's dream, they make an apparatus for them to enter secretly and do what they want added to that they can also interact together with their own consciousness. The apparatus made to have an easier access in entering lucidly in another's dream or bring them into a person's dream.

As the main character Cobb(Leonardo DiCaprio) said in the movie, "We create the world of the dream," and with that the researcher thinks the author if the story of the movie Christopher Nolan experienced somehow being lucid in one of his dreams. Because, researcher thinks no one could ever make a story like this if he/she didn't experienced to be lucid on their dreams. Because, that simple sentence not only gives a lot of things in  lucid dreamers but also it has a broader meaning that empower our minds and imagination.(http://www.newyorker.com/arts/critics/cinema/2010/07/26/100726crci_cinema_denby)

Another thing that the researcher caught her attention is the answer of the director of the movie, Christopher Nolan said in an interview last April 4, 2010 in LA Times with Geoff Boucher, "And the only outlandish idea that the film presents, really, is the existence of a technology that allows you to enter and share the same dream as someone else.". Meaning that this movie only shows that even the existence of both things which are the technology that people used to have an easy life and the dreams that people experienced every night have their connection and somehow, in related to each other. and has a "what if's" that in the future, this movie can be done in real life. (http://www.newyorker.com/arts/critics/cinema/2010/07/26/100726crci_cinema_denby

B. The Matrix (1999)

This movie is one of the favorite classic movies of the researcher regarding with the lucid dreaming concept. Just like other lucid dreaming movies, it also has a it’s twist that makes the audience go crazy and somehow confused about the story. It is a combination of the concept of lucid dreaming and the technology that people used nowadays. It shows that somehow, when people are addicted to get used with the technology, it have a bad effects to the people.

For those readers who didn't watch it yet, here's a glimpsed. This is a story of a man who is Neo, a software author by the day and a hacker by the night. Neo is recruited by a civil - rebel group specifically the team leader who is Morpheus and the leather - clad who is Trinity to join the rebellion for the freedom of mankind. They explained to Neo that the world that he living and believing in is not true,  it is only a computer program that can think and learn which is called a matrix. The matrix is a computer program that creates virtual reality in order to manipulate people after putting them into a deep sleep and become lucid in their dreams, in which most of the people believe that it is the reality. The group also stated that the goal of the group is to crack the framework in order to break the matrix and free mankind. So, after a long explanation of Morpheus on why Neo should join the group, Morpheus offers a two pills, the red and the blue pill, as an options for Neo on what will he do. The options are: continue living in a world that is not real as it looks like or go beyond and find what the truth is. The researcher encourage the readers to watch and find out more on what Neo will choose and what will he do.

According to the article "The Matrix (Wachowski Bros., 1999) as an enactment of Plato's' Allegory of the Cave" of Claire Binnion in the website academia.edu. There the author stated the connections between the famous book of Plato which is "The Republic" and the movie "The Matrix(1999). One of the similarities which is discussed is the ides of not being in control by someone which is present in both things.

But what is the role of lucid dreaming in this movie?

In this movie, lucid dreaming used as a way in order to control people or the whole world. The innovaters create a clone of the world the we are living which is the matrix. The innovaters maked this so that they can control people and do believe that the world that they are living is still true. They put the people into a deep sleep and have a lucid dreaming which is closer to real life so people don't doubt about what place there moving is.

As Neo said to Morpheus in the movie, "Have you

As Neo said to Morpheus in the movie, “ Have you ever had that feeling where you are not sure you are awake or still dreaming?” It’s a kind of question that somehow people can usually ask to themselves every time there having a vivid dream that close to what is really happening in the real world even the researcher that conduct this study. Because  sometimes, when people get lucid in their dreams, people recognize these dreams as their real life, because somehow it is closely related to what is happening in real world or the scenario in dream state is better than in their real life so they choose to stay with it.

With all of that, the researcher conclude that this kind of movie  shows the advantages and disadvantages of having an excessive used of technology and several practices of being lucid in the dreams.  In which there has a possibility that it will happen near future if people can’t discipline themselves and being control over those gadgets that blinds people ffom what reality is.

Chapter 3
SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS
AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Summary

The goal of this study is to determine what is the main role of lucid dreaming in some movies.

The researcher used a design which is the descriptive research method wherein datas and informations that are gathered and used in this study, are from books and
articles in the internet, were used to answer the question that is stated. And after all this reviews and readings, the research findings are the following:

1. Not all movies have lucid dreaming as their main role in the story. Some of them only feature an iceberg of what feels like when you are in lucid dreaming

2. Some directors used their personal experience of being a lucid in a dream as their reference in making a movie that can have the people's eyes in it.

3. Movies have their different input on how they will use the concept of lucid dreaming in the story, and in order to have a twist, writers add some concept and create unusual stuff that people may have interested to.

4. Several movies like Inception and Matrix which have the concept of lucid dreaming in the story, are those stories that can create m

Conclusions

The following conclusions that based from the research findings are drawn:

1. The concept of lucid dreaming can be used in different kinds of role depending on how the writer or director will do it to be more confusing to audience.

2.   Audience or viewers don’t easily determine what is the role of lucid dreaming in one   airing of it. They should watch it at least 3 times so that they can truly understand the content well.

3.   Not all movies that have connection in lucid dreaming didn’t have  concept of it as their main point in the story.  Some movies only features an iceberg of it like, what it seems   like when a person is being lucid in a dream.

4.    Although most of the people might say lucid dreaming is harmful for them, it doesn’t   have to be that way because in positive ways, lucid dreamers have their advantages in which they can empower more their imagination and enable to create some things like stories in movies.

Recommendations

After concluding some points in the study, the researcher hereby gives some recommendations for the readers.

1.   Students who are taking film courses should try to take the lucid dreaming concept in their stories so that their stories will come up with a big twist in it.

2.  People should watch some movies with lucid dreaming concept in order to develop           thinking skills and gain more information about lucid dreaming in order to understand     more further about lucid dreaming.

3.  Writers should read this study in order to have knowledge and reference as they make new stories to be in film.

4.  Future researchers should conduct study that has a connection with lucid dreaming like     this, so that people may know further about the true meaning of what is lucid dreaming     is.

Blogpost #8: Simply Dream

Everyone who of use usually dream when we sleep. And those dream makes us more inspired in our real life. But what do actually know about dream? Can you dream without sleeping or thus, what are the facts about dream?

I think I started to have a dreaming whenever I sleep when I was a kid. I don't know why but I always wake up in 3am in the morning. It sounds crazy but I am scared on waking up in 3am because some says that when you woke up at 3 am someone watching you or a demonic way etc. So, come on and read the entire blog so you will understand as I learned more
about dreams.

As I read the article entitled "15 Interesting Facts about Dreams" by Lina Davidaviciute at boredpanda.com, and it really help us to learn more about dreaming. One of those are you forget 90% of your dreams. And even the blind people also become lucid in their dream. Everybody dreams but not everyone dreams in color. There are so much to learn more about dreaming but again, it doesn't uncover the mysticism of it

The article is very interesting yet there are really few things that are not quite accurate for me .I don't know maybe it just happen that I didn't experienced it yet, so maybe for some it is exactly true. Because each and everyone of dream but we differently dream and not all those dream signs are the same for every dreamer. I guess it depends upon on each individual that experiencing dreaming.

As Lina Davidaviciute stated that, " Many artist have received their creative ideas from their dreams." which I agree with. I, as a multimedia artist I am one of those people in our industry that comes up with ideas from my dream. And added to that it, it is the one of those reason why I appreciated arts.

Another article I'd read is entitled "5 Facts about Dreams and Nightmares" by Jeanna Bryner at livescience.com. There are things that we will know about what goes on in dreams and how does usually mean by those dreams. Through that, I think dreams are not only gives us more about arts and imagination, because she said that it maybe has an another purpose in why dreams exist. It helps our brain reboot and help us to solve our problems.

This kind of article is really good to discuss, because those myths of the author came up from those realization with evidence. And I think it has a capability of explaining  why those usual dreams happened. So, it ended up that those kind of dreams has a vivid meaning to us.

As our author, Jeanna Bryner said that "When your head hits the pillow, for many, it's lights out for the conscious part of you.". It does make sense for all of us, even though it is hard to explain, I think give us message that once you sleep, it is the start of having your dreams from your consciousness.

Through all this making of entire blog post itself, it has been thousands of information I gain from it. It helps not only to understand more about the dreams but also we learned more ideas and conclusion about dreams. I wished just like me you gain more information about facts and myths about dreams. See you in dreamland guys!

Blogpost #5 (Quick Blog): Single on Valentine's Day

Sometimes, when we are lucid in dreaming something about love that we can control, we choose not to wake up early because sometimes fantasy is more likely to be good than the reality. Like for our love life, if we have a god story in our dream which maybe we wished that someday will happen.Occassionally, when we wake up, it screwed all those fantasies, then *poof!* back to reality. We should face that in real state some of us our single and having a feeling that we are loser because no one treat them as their special someone.

It has only one week to go before the Valentine's day. People, most like the "lovers" are really get excited about this day. Why? It is a delucional day that chocolates and flowers float together in the air. So, maybe this day which is the Valetine's Day most like to be a panicky day and some tell  this a desperate day for most people who find themselves a special someone so, they can go with the flow of this day. "Love is in the air" is a motto to all lovers out there.

But, the most questionable and interesting question that will always ask every time the heart's day will come is that "Do Valentine's Day are only for those lovers?". A kind of question that can automatically answered by no, but some can't avoid to ask this question because some of them are single and ave a bitter taste in love because obviously, they dao't have a love life.

So, the thing is, how we can enjoy this day without having our special someone? a fullfillment joy that can compare to all lovers out there who also celebrate the heart's day?

As Catherine Osborne explains how can we enjoy that day in the article"Valentines Day - Love is NOT Just For Couples!" in the website upshiftcoaching.com, she explains further that it is not good choosing over to stay at your home so that you can avoid those lovers walking slowly. Because it doesn't shows the good approach to it, even you do it to avoid those fact. It came a long that you will still feel that you are sad because you are not one of those. She advice that this is like a thing or myth that you do believe even there' a clear thought that it can be change. She express more that we could change our perspective about the Valentine's Day. That we could have a time to focus on what we have, rather than on what we feel we've missing.

As I read the whole article, I can say it is very short article for this area of love. However, it is an article that can persuade people who are single and satisfy them that Valentine's Day is no longer for romantic love only. It has a fact that in this day, we can show to those people who love us that we appreciate them all this time. Furthermore, it only shows us that love is not about a two people who love each other. Thus, love is all about you treat and appreciate those things that someone done to you.

As Catherine Osborne leaves one of those message who inspires me a lot, "A person’s worth comes from who they are, not who they are with.". Meaning that neither the person you are with will never dictate on what will feelings would you have but it is yourself who will decide and choose what will you do to make your worth being appreciated not only of those people around you but also for yourself.

Another article that I read entitled "Lucid Dream Wife" by Rise Alise in the website of luciddreamingstories.com, it's actually a kind of love story happened in his lucid dreaming. On how they were happy with the girl he love but he didn't get a chance to have her in real life. And he tell that even though he has a not good life here in real life, he can still enjoy appreciate it because of his dream with his love one. Further more, he realize that there's a deep meaning between those dream. Find out what is it when you read. And then you will realize those things that he thought that even if you are a single in real life, you can still bear with it because you have the thing that no one will know that made you happy, and that  is because of your dream.

He's story in lucid dreaming was good. And I am pretty sure that he had fall in love it over and over again because myself either went to that point. That feeling that you take a lot of emotion in your dreams which can affect our reality. But there's a point of him that some kind I am disappoint to, not because he wanted to continue all over again his dreams but I he might consider his dream, a another world or somehow kind of a real thing that really exists. I can say that even though the things that happen in your dream is happier to live with that than the real one. I think he should focus more in his reality because somehow he is responsible of why those some miserable things happened to him like a loner or something. You should do things that makes you a happy and contented person don't just rely on your dream because it's only
a dream, and it is a part of our life that motivates us to have a our life more positive than before.

But somehow, I agree with Rise Alise statement which is, " I know hiding behind dreams will only worsen my life in reality." because he understand everything. That dream is only a dream that sometimes we forget about it. It is only a one of those thing that inspires us in our daily life. And we should clear that not only for him but also for us.

So, for those single out there who undergo once in a romantic lucid dream, don't consider it as a real one or expect that it will come true. Because sometimes, dreams doesn't matter in life, it is only a thing that gives live entertainment and inspiration for us to have a happier life. And of course, don't loose hope to be happy in Valentine's Day, make your plans and do some things that can make you happy as well as those lovers out there. Have a Happy Valentine's Day everyone!:)

Blogpost #4: How to become Lucid in a Dream

In some aspects, there are many good things that we can get in lucid dreaming. So, many people always want to try to become lucid in their dreaming. Because in the dreaming state, you can do what you want that no one will ever care about it except for your imagination, of course.

I remember my first lucid dream way back when I was in the 5th grade, it is a some kind of love story that turns out to a horror-action scenario. I met a guy who was at my age also in that dream. Then, there was the time that his parents were so angry with him because of me they turned out to be a zombies and trying to kill not only me but also my family. In the moment of it, I realized that it was all a dream so, I decided to have a power to protect my family and escape from those freaking zombies that guy I met was trying to help us too. Instead of running so fast, I intend to jump higher so that it will be easy to escape from them. But those zombies never give up on us, I tried to shot them down by my riffles but there's nothing happen. Until, some of the zombies trying to kill me at my back when I am taking my rest, the guy who was the relatives of those zombies pushed me back so that I won't be able to get hurt. So, that guy was bitten by those zombies and affected by the infection. Those zombies were shocked on what happened, they stopped and cried for he (the guy who save me)will be a zombie too.

In some people who are given with this natural talent in becoming lucid in their dreams, don't have a problem in doing this all over again. But how we can do it, if we are not one of those people? How we can experience those kind of mysticism of the imagination?

According to lifehack.org from the article, "7 Steps to Start Lucid Dreaming" of Steven Aitchison, generally he came given to us some things that we can do to have a lucid dreaming. The following are the steps which is given by the author:

 1.  Keep a dream journal.
 2.  Remember your ordinary dreams.
 3.  Pick out dream signs.
 4.  Notice your waking world.
 5.  Ask yourself; ‘Am I dreaming?’.
 6.  Your first lucid dream.
 7.  Staying Lucid.

One of those things which got my attention is having a dream journal, it's like a diary on what you have dream every time you sleep. In in this case you can really remember of the things that you'd dream before and aside from it, you can do the steps automatically. Here you can actually identify on the things which is common in your dreams and maybe that thing can be your dream sign, a sign that you are in the dreaming state like a rabbit which can talk or maybe some actions like having a powers. Then, you can determine what is your dreaming world in reality. For some reason, I think this will be effective if you'll do it regularly because it will help you to become lucid in dreaming.

As our author, Steve Aitchison said that, "When you are dreaming and you become conscious that you are dreaming you can start to control your dreams and the direction they go in." All those dreams came from our self-consciousness and when you know you  are dreaming, you can control and start putting some exciting scenarios there. And that is the time you are lucid in your dreams.

Another article, "A Quick Guide to Lucid Dreaming"  by Fenwick Rysen in the website chaosmatrix.org, he give us some effective guidelines to have a lucid dream. One of those is we should always ask to ourselves "I am dreaming?" a good question to have our self-awareness more active not only in the reality but also to our  dreamland. There are some things that he explain further, like you can actually write the main idea of your dream instead of writing it in every detail.

Even it was a quick blog for us, it has a straight points on how it will help us do the lucid dreaming. And I agree on what he want to tell us, that we cannot know how will it take to have a lucid dreaming in doing those guidelines because it depends on our self-consciousness on how will they work.

One of Fenwick Rysen's statements which caught my attention is that, "Don't expect success overnight: There is no fast food service line for mastery of the occult arts." which is right. It takes a long time to have a successful goal, same  with the having a lucid dreaming. It takes a lot of patience and time to practice and to become lucid in your dreams.

Having a lucid dream was so great for me, even it has some creepy scenarios out there, you can still manage those things that you wish will happen. But it takes a particular long process to achieve it, you should be patience to do those guidelines which are given if you really want to experience it. See you in dreamland folks'.!:))

Blogpost #6: Lucid Dreaming and the Inception

Having a lucid dreaming means a lot for other people, because somehow, lucid dreaming is a kind of living entertainment to all who do it. Because there you have two roles, one is the writer who acts like an architect of the whole story and the other one is being the main actor of the scene. It is like the a mainstream class-A movie for all those people who experience it.

In our generation today, lucid dreaming raise it's concept not only for those people who are interested to it. It also one of those concept in some movies in our industry. Some of them have the box office rated because of those effects that given and the uniqueness of the story. One of those movies is the Inception. Inception is kind of movie which is related to the concept of lucid dreaming. It is somehow define the concept of being lucid in a dream. Here are some articles that I'd read for the topic.

According to a news editor named as Rowan Hooper, in his article "Inception: Peering into the Science of Dreams" in the website of newscientist.com. Some of those thing in the movie of Inception were related and inspired by the concept of lucid dreaming. Aside from that he also state that it lies between those previous movies, James Bond film and The Matrix Trilogy. He also relate some informal laws that lucid dreaming and Inception has.

As for my opinion fro that article, I can say that this kind of movie is well prepared for the story, because they not only do that but they also made a research that somehow when the audience will it and has a thing that we will never forget and get confused on and do some research to know it better.

One of Rowan Hooper statements that I agreed with, "Dreams follow some "real life" rules". That dream is always a part of our life and like real life too, it also need some rules, rules that from the real world rules. Somehow, we can say that things in lucid dreaming has a connection between the real world.

Another article I read was entitled, "What is Inception Really About?" by Damian Nordmann in the website som.org that in every words that has a connection between the two, which are Inception and Lucid Dreaming. Other from that, he also discuss how powerful our subconscious is and what is the meaning of being a dead person in a lucid dream.

The article was great because he actually explains how those concept which relate to our topic, lucid dreaming, applied in the movie, Inception. And I realize that lucid dreaming is like an over acting reference book of the real life because of some points that those two have in common.

One of Mr.Damian Nordmann statements got my attention is, "Dreams are experiences in the subconscious mind that we have each night when we sleep.". Meaning those dreams that we got every night come from our subconscious mind that's why it is in the dreamland than in the waking state like in the Inception.

I conclude that Inception reveals some iceberg of lucid dreaming but just like in the movies. Movies is just an iceberg from the whole story of it's book. But even though people have information about lucid dreaming, it won't be able to open the mysticism of the lucid dreaming.

Blogpost #3: Negative - Effects of Lucid Dreaming

Many people push themselves to become lucid in dream again because some things which happen in there dreaming state, is favor for them. And because of that, we didn't realize that some thing are not right when we keep doing this forced of being lucid in a dream. i am sure one of you guys, push yourself in coming back in your dream to continue what is happening there, right? Don't worry because I am one of you who usually do that every time i had a beautiful lucid dream.

But based on what I read in the internet, I realized that there are some things which we never get attention with it like some negative - effects of the lucid. I write about this stuffs because I want you to know guys some things that we do and might actually think that it can't affect our real life would be nothing. Actually, it affect our entire life even the unforgettable hurtful dream may affect our daily life.

According to the article,"Would excessive lucid dreaming be dangerous?" by Tim Post on lucidipedia.com, unexpected lucid dreaming good for us. But forcing ourselves to go back in what we are dreaming even we are awake can affect us. Some people want to experience lucid dreaming only because they want it just for the of fun and desire.

And after they experienced it, and somehow they are not satisfied yet,the tendency is people will come back to sleep to be lucid again or to continue what they are doing in their dreams. It seems that they really wanting it more than anything else just like a drug which you have addicted of. And from that, pushing us to lucid again in our sleep cause us to lose our sleep and gets dizzy when we work or will study. It's like that you choose the dreaming state and treating it as a real one. So, that's the point when you get a negative effect from lucid dreaming when you got addicted from it.

Next thing is, when you got addicted to it, there's a possibility that you'll be alienated because of your lucidity. It's like you feel that you have a power like some superheroes that save the world in televisions and movies. They will feel it because they thought that they are the only one can do the lucid dreaming. And because of that, everything can cause dissociation between real life and fantasy for you. By the time you are recovering from those of dreams in your lucid dream you may feel very exhausted.

From the article of Ryan Hurd,"Is Lucid Dreaming Dangerous?" in the website of dreamstudies.org, can really satisfies that lucid dreaming is not dangerous to our health especially in out mental health. Maybe  the best way to have control of wanting or being addicted to it is making a boundary for reality and in dream state. Prioritize real life over those dreams. Because those dream was came  with those result because we control it, remember we are the architect and at the same time the main character of our dream. In case, we can prevent wanting dreams more than to live with real life.
Many people critic some topics before they have the real information about a thing. Sometimes, they just grabbed some information which what they'd heard from other people. Like, for lucid dreaming, many people have their own perspective on how does the lucid dream affect our reality and communication for real people. But actually it depends, upon the person who experienced it on how he or she will explain the truth between those lines.

"There’s no evidence that lucid dreaming can bring on mental illness." . A strong quotation of Ryan Hurd that really satisfy that you can never have a negative effects on doing the lucid dreaming unless it is too much for you to do it.

Same thing with  thoughts of Tim Post that,"They simply do not matter about those dreams and would only clutter up our waking life concerns".You should leave the thought which are formulated in your dreaming state because when you actually brought those things in real life. There's a tendency that you can have the bad effects of lucid dreaming.
Because reality has a big differences between those lucid dreaming and you should always remember that.

It may have some trouble in doing the lucid dreaming but it will never affect you unless you do not treat it as a "Safe Drug". Because even if is safe drug, there' s always the word drug which we all know that it is harmful to us.
